“I may have retired from the game, but not from being big,” American retired professional basketball player Shaq said in the 2012 Buick commercial. However, that was not the line petrolheads favored most. Instead it was the “I’ve got shoes that are bigger than most hybrids” line that stuck with us. Sure, that didn’t help the American carmaker too much with sales. As to what the NBA star’s daily driver is, well, it’s not a Lacrosse, but a Cadillac CTS, apparently.
Throughout his 19-year NBA career, Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal on his real name played for six teams. He ranks 6th all-time in points scored, 5th in field goals, 13th in rebounds and 7th in blocks. Everybody knows him for his ability to dunk the basketball, which ranks him 3rd all-time in field goal percentage.

And those are far from being the only things he stayed busy with, considering he even had a music career, releasing not one but four rap albums. Add a couple of reality shows to it and you get the big picture.

The point is, carmakers care a lot about these type of sports celebrities, which is why what they use as a daily driver is going to be of utmost importance. We checked whether the NBA star is in any way related with the luxury automaker, but it would appear there’s nothing going on.

The Cadillac CTS you see above recently received a proper pair of Forgiato wheels, and we can’t but assume it’s one of the sportsman’s favorite rides. Since DUB Magazine mentioned it the other day, we guessing they are going to pay him a visit soon.
