Please hold off on the trolling comments - we have not misspelled CR-V! This ugly looking car is the Honda HRV, a mini SUV we though to be long dead since production in Japan ended back in 2006.
The strange vehicle only measures about 4 meters in length (just over 13 feet) and is thus smaller than a current generation Fiesta. Its official name stands for Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle (yes, that is Japanese spelling for you), and the car is supposed to combine the advantages of full sized crossover with the practicality of a smaller car.
The platform was taken from the Honda Civic of the time and you could only have a 1.6-liter SOHC engine in Europe.
The Ukrainian bombshell Irina Olhovskaya sent us her test drive from blonddrive.tv with a silver five-door Honda HR-V, which from what we understand is actually her real car, which she loves so much she wouldn’t change for any reason. We know she’s driven Maseratis and high-end BMWs, so maybe there’s something we’re missing.
