Most SEAT models are worth liking, but only one is worth loving, the Cupra. The cool thing is that now you can buy it in three body styles and with two engines, three if you count the update.
Anyway, the Cupra ST is one of the best vehicles you can have if you want to take your car to a race track like the Nurburgring. We won't go as far as to say that you can challenge a Porsche 911... but you can if that driver sucks.

SEAT engineers say that the Cupra now stands for 80% comfort and 20% sport, while the older models were 50% comfort and 50% sport. They also say the 20% sport of the new models is equivalent to the 50% of the older ones. Considering this is the fastest production wagon to lap the 'Ring, they are probably right.

But what do you do if you want 55% sport? Well, you could install an aftermarket exhaust system like the one proposed by REMUS. It's a cat-back system that's still resonated. But because SEAT designed a little misfire into the engine map of the cars with DSG gearboxes, you can enjoy lots of pops when you lift off the gas.

As far as we can tell, this setup is designed for the old 265 model (still in production, technically) and the 280. However, the 290 model sounds decent enough from the factory, as some people have even said SEAT has deleted the middle section.

Anyway, if you have a 280 model, we'd definitely recommend installing the REMUS system, as the 2013-2015 Cupra models can barely be heard from inside the cabin. The aftermarket setup also adds 6.1 horsepower, 5.7 Nm of torque and cuts the curb weight by 5.2 kilograms. It's a win-win situation!

The price of the cat-back system is € 1,170 including tax but not shipping. You can also have a slightly cheaper axle-back system for € 858.
