SEAT Launched Altea XL Provocative Ad

This is one of those things that we didn’t see coming. Ready to endanger its image in the eyes of its more conservative customers, SEAT launched a new dirty and provocative advertising campaign, which tries to highlight the fact that life doesn’t have to stop being fun when you have kids. Well, the marketing team thought it well, as there is a truth to that. However, we just can’t wait to see what will the public opinion on this ad be.

The new campaign, which carries the strap line: ‘The new SEAT Altea, because life shouldn’t stop with a family car’ is now running in a selection of magazines and newspapers.

As you can see, the image shows a couple in their thirties running naked from their SEAT Altea XL, preparing go skinny dipping, and bearing the slogan ‘because dirty weekends should be more than watching the kids play football’.

There is also a national radio advert released by the Spanish manufacturer in which a young boy and his mum, who is driving in an Altea XL, are discussing her and her husband's, the boy's dad, forthcoming ‘picnic’ which is set to include strawberries, cream… and chocolate body paint! Well, sooner or later, the kid will do it as well...

The press ads feature professional models, and some of the images were shot at 04:30 in the Ebro Delta near Barcelona, which, according to SEAT’s press release, is a beach that is not crowded in June...so we can understand why it was a great place for taking pictures to naked people.
