SEAT has yet to really find itself a place in the VW Group family besides catering to the Spanish domestic market, but one car they make that we really like is the Ibiza hatch, with its “arrow” design created by Belgian car designer Luc Donckerwolke. It was also the first VW Group car to use the PQ25 compact platform, ahead of the Audi A1 and VW Polo.
First shown almost four years ago at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, the supermini is due for a makeover this will debut at the 2012 edition of the same Swiss venue.
The changes aren’t major, an target the bumpers and lights. The grille has also been widened a bit and boasts a new honeycomb grille. LED lights can be specified all-round, but thankfully for the budget-minded, the are optional, as are the new sets of alloy wheels.
