SEAT Alhambra Pricing Revealed

SEAT has released the pricing for the Alhambra MPV, which was presented back in April and shares its platform with the Volkswagen Sharan.

The vehicle offers two equipment levels: Reference, the basic one and Style, the superior one. As for the engine range, the Alhambra uses two TSI petrol units and two TDI diesel powerplants.

Actually we are talking about a 1.4 liter TSI and a 2.0 liter diesel, each coming in two power levels. The first delivers 150 or 200 hp, while the second produces 140 or 170 hp. All the units can be mated to an optional DSG double clutch gearbox.

In an effort to cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, the Spanish automotive producer has fitted the car with a stop-start system, as well as one that recovers energy lost during braking. Both come as standard features on the MPV. The most economical engine in the line-up is the 140 hp 2.0l TDI one, which returns a fuel consumption figure of 42.7 mpg (5.5 liters per 100 km) and emits 143 grams of CO2 per km.

The Alhambra has a starting price of EUR28,500, for the 1.4 liter TSI Reference model. The entry level diesel mode, the 2.0 TDI 140 hp Reference starts at EUR30,500. Ticking the DSG box on the optional extras list will set you back EUR1,900. The most expensive model, the 170hp 2.0 TDI Style (with the DSG gearbox) can be yours starting from a price of EUR36,100.

The Alhambra can accommodate five, six or seven passengers and offers a luggage space of between 885 and 2,297 liters.
