Toyota’s division Scion revealed two new limited edition models for the 2012 xB and xD, both of them arriving under the RS badge. These aren’t exactly fresh designs, but they managed to get their fair share of attention at the 2011 State Fair of Texas where they were unveiled.
The xD Release Series 4.0 is sold exclusively in combination with a Blizzard Pearl exterior paint and comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels in a smoked platinum color. Inside, the car gets coordinated trim for the center console, steering wheel and door panels. The seats gets different trim and white stitching, while the floor mats have also been changed.
Prices will start at a relatively affordable $16,980 including the $730 destination charge for the manual version, or $17,780 for the automatic. Production will be strictly limited to 800 units.
