“Try before you buy” is often one of the best sales strategies, especially when it comes to premium items. So it’s really awesome to see a top-drawer helmet manufacturer such as Schuberth offering demo rides for several models, this summer, as a part of an official sales program.
Truth is, when it comes to helmets, the occasions to actually test ride one is a very rare thing, for numerous reasons, and it’s not exactly rare when people end up spending their money on helmets they grow to hate in a couple of weeks or so. Returning a helmet with sweat odor or with a scratched visor is definitely the last thing a dealer wants to see, so anything more than wearing balaclava and testing out the helmet in the showroom is kind of out of the question.
Well, not for Schuberth, and not this summer, North America’s National Sales Manager, Peter Meade says. “Our demo helmet program gives anyone looking for a new helmet the opportunity to not only try on a Schuberth, but also take it for a ride in order to get a practical, real-world experience,” he adds. This means that those interested in getting a new helmet can go to their nearest participating Schuberth dealer and request a demo ride.
Most of the dealers which will take part in this program will be offering the S2 full-face helmet, but certain resellers will also be offering other models. Keith Code’s California Superbike School students will also be able to test rider the SR1, while the MotoQuest west coast tour and rental services will be offering the S2, C3 and C3W lids.
Certain conditions apply, so make sure you get things straight with your Schuberth dealer. Check with Schuberth North America for more details… and pray the German manufacturer expands this awesome offer on the other side of the pond, too.
