Sara Carbonero, the New Ford Focus and a Bit of Soccer

And that pretty much sums it up... Spain, the land of the toreadors and home to some of the best teams of soccer in the world has become a battle ground for some 17,500 people who have entered El Futbol Focus Challenge, an online competition sanctioned, sponsored and set in motion by American manufacturer Ford.

A long-time partner of the UEFA Champions League, Ford decided that mixing a bit of soccer with the image of the new Focus would be the perfect choice to make the soon-to-be launched car more appealing. Add to that the fact that Ford Focus' new ambassador, Sara Carbonero, knows a bit more about both soccer and cars and they may be on to something.

The people who have entered the competition (if you haven't already, you can join at the following link) will be subjected to a barrage of soccer-related questions (no less the 160 quizzes, put together by a team of soccer experts) for a chance to win a free Ford Focus and a trip to the UEFA Champions League final on Wembley, in London.

Now, you don't have to be a Spanish native to be able to take part in the competition. For those of you who have soccer running through your veins, just the opportunity of being present at a Champions League final should be enough to make you enter.

This year, the first four of the teams in Europe come from four different countries (that hasn't happened in quite some time). The first four quarter-finalists are FC Barcelona (Spain), Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine), Tottenham Hotspur (England) and Schalke 04 (Germany).
