For all those times when you felt like making a convincing Santa boiled down to not having the perfect sleigh, here’s some good news. One is available for sale.
It is perhaps the most unique and more than slightly dangerous custom trike to emerge on the market in a very long time, but hey, it could be your perfect Santa sleigh. A very expensive and possibly downright ugly sleigh, but a sleigh nonetheless.

At least, that’s what the seller would have you believe. Listed on Facebook Marketplace out of Maumee, Ohio, this trike-thing is an amalgam of mismatched parts and a total eyesore. But it gets points for creativity and scores high as a novelty factor, which more than explains its high asking price of $10,000.

Powered by a Ford 302 V8 engine, the rear end of this thing comes off a Chevrolet Chevette. The engine is mounted in the middle, and steering is apparently, strangely so, done from the backseat of the Chevette. There’s a Harley-Davidson wheel and fork in the front, with the seller noting that some Yamaha and Kawasaki bits have been thrown in for good measure, as were parts from a Chevrolet Vega. Really, no effort (and no amount of what we assume were leftover parts) was spared in the making of this thing.

But look at it, how majestic and jolly it looks! Painted in what looks like a shade of burned orange, it has flames on the sides of the rear, a Christmas wreath in the front, and an actual Christmas tree in the trunk. Because you know Santa never travels without one.

You might not be able to turn in this thing or, for that matter, have too comfortable a ride, but at least you’re bound to make an impression wherever you go. To some, $10K might be worth it.
