Ever since Mercedes-Benz unveiled the gorgeous Concept S-Class Coupe at the 2013 edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show, people have been expecting to see just how many of those beautiful lines would be kept on the production variant.
As it turns out, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe (C217) looks quasi-identical with the concept car that previewed it, while the S 63 AMG version offers even more eye-candy when it comes to its exterior design.

With that being said, both the S 500 Coupe and the S 63 AMG are already on sale and have been for a while in Germany, but this hasn't stopped Mercedes-AMG engineers to still test a pre-production prototype of the AMG variant after the car has been launched.

Obviously, the baritone sound of those twin-turbocharged eight cylinders can be clearly heard over the screeching of the tires tortured by the weight of the car, giving a very pleasant audio experience over the course of the short video below.

Shot by our friends at TouriClips less than a month ago, the footage shows a pearl-white S 63 AMG Coupe giving it almost all-out on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, also known as the Green Hell.

As you can see and especially hear, the Mercedes-AMG test driver wasn't actually driving Miss Daisy on the famed circuit, making us think that the laps he did were required to test something on the car, with our guess being the delayed carbon-ceramic braking system, but we could be wrong.

With 585 hp and 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque, the S 63 AMG clearly doesn't lack oomph, but you might want to reconsider doing some hardcore track time with it, since the two-ton weight of the model is clearly not doing any favors for the braking system.

Despite that, seeing a majestic-looking grand tourer like this while being put through its paces on the Nordschleife is a thing of beauty on many levels from our point of view.
