Policemen are people. They may act tough, with their uniforms, hats and guns, but underneath all that they are just people, most of which are not necessarily of a brave persuasion. They will try to uphold the law for as long as they can, but if things do get bad, have no doubt that most will flee.
However, there are some policemen for whom their duty really is important, and they will pursue their ‘suspect’, regardless of what harm may be brought upon themselves. This Russian cop from St. Petersburg can be seen dangling from the side window of a first-generation Skoda Octavia, as one driver refuses to show documents and then takes off. The policeman clings on for a few seconds, then falls onto the ground.
Yet, even after being hurled from a moving car, he is still determined to catch the guy, so he gets inside the van or truck with the dash-mounted camera and continues the pursuit. At least the fleeing driver gets caught, as seen in the second video.
