Robert Llewellyn Checks Out an ‘Eco Home’ in Germany

The problem of sustainability is really beginning to be widely accepted, whereas, but 10 - 15 years ago, people were a lot less open to talk about it. Germany which is one of the world’s most technologically advanced countries (as a whole), is also at the forefront of renewable and sustainable ways to maintain our current life styles, while also using a lot less dirty energy.
Robert checks out a very special ultra-modern house, located right in the heart of Berlin. However, we must admit that it is easily the most intelligent house we’ve ever seen, as it incorporates an extraordinary amount of clever technologies. It has solar panels on the roof, special ultra-insulating windows and walls made out of hemp. It also features a heat exchanger which takes the heat out of the surrounding air and brings it into the house or expels the heat in the summer, depending on the atmospherical conditions.

The house generates so much electricity, that the person living there can charge two EVs and an electric bicycle, while having enough power left over to power the rest of the house. It also features its own 60 kWh battery pack, which is enough to power the house for ‘a few days’. If you are planning on building a house, please do so sustainably, and at least try to incorporate some of these clever features into your own home!
