Swedish DJ Avicii became quite famous after releasing his Wake Me Up single. American soul singer Aloe Blacc was the one to take care of the vocals for the track. Sure, we liked Nina Simone’s Feeling Good remake better, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a gig to remember. This post is not about that kind of music, though.
Just to set things straight, we’d like to detail what we just said for a second.

Wake Me Up is the name of the first debut single by Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii. It was released on June 17, 2013, and it’s one of the songs they still play on the radio, especially when you visit one of those beach resorts. Tim Bergling on his real name is an artist we have spoken of before, only that it was related to this marketing gig the 25-year-old artist was doing with Volvo.

Volvo Cars and the Swedish artist have partnered up for a creative cooperation to celebrate their common roots with a new recording and music video that was released a while ago. It’s a remake of the world famous Feeling Good song, best known through Nina Simone’s interpretation.

This one-minute clip the world wide internet is offering has nothing to do with Avicii, but it did make us recall of the Wake Me Up song, considering that’s what it is about - waking up. Instead of a proper sound set, however, there’s a 6.5-liter V12 engine revving like a devil. It’s supposed to be a prank this guy pulls out on his sleepy friend.

To us, however, it rather looks like the perfect wake-up call any petrolhead could wish for. Just think of it, o to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, a top speed of 212 mph, everything in just one song, the music of a Raging Bull at its best.
