Unlike its rivals from Stellantis, Chevrolet is doing very well vehicle-wise. It has a multitude of crossovers on sale in the United States, joined by a few electric offerings and the Corvette lineup that is about to gain a fourth member: the ZL1.
Its pickup lineup comprises the Colorado and Silverado, and in case you missed it, it has a smaller proposal for South America. Named the Montana, Chevy's third-gen workhorse debuted a little over a year ago, sporting a modern face, a decent-sized bed, and a nice cabin design that doesn't cut back on the usual modern amenities.

Chevy's Montana is a unibody proposal that uses the same platform as the Tracker and Onix, albeit with more room between the axles than its siblings. Its wheelbase measures 110.2 inches (2,800 mm) long, or a hair shorter than the Blazer. It has a total length of 185.7 inches (4,717 mm), is 70.8 inches (1,798 mm) wide, and is 65.3 inches (1,659 mm) tall.

Under the hood lies a 1.2-liter turbocharged unit. It is a three-cylinder engine chosen because the bowtie brand wanted to deliver the best of both worlds: decent acceleration and fuel economy. The mill produces 133 hp (135 ps/99 kW) and 155 pound-feet (210 Nm) of torque. Shoppers have to decide between a manual and an automatic transmission and will have to live with front-wheel drive, as no all-wheel-drive system is available.

As is sometimes the case with pickups that get turned into SUVs, it appears the GM-owned auto marque does not have something similar planned for the Montana. As a result, it will remain a unibody pickup that's always ready to haul some large items as long as they fit inside the 31 cu-ft (874-liter) bed. However, it means nothing to the rendering crowd, which is always ready to rearrange the pixels of any vehicle out there, including this compact workhorse.

Thus, say hello to the unofficial 2025 Chevrolet Montana SUV. The virtual model has a fresh face inspired by other high-riders in GM's current lineup, alongside a sharper grille and a pointier nose. The hood is also new, and so are the fenders, whereas the profile has remained largely the same. Further back, the rear quarter panels were expanded to make room for the enclosed cargo area. The pixel manipulator gave it slim rear pillars and different taillights and made the rear bumper look less commercial-y.

It was Kleber Silva who shared these digital illustrations on Behance earlier this month, and we think such a model would sell like hotcakes if priced accordingly, even if it would also lack AWD. So, should Chevy give it a shot and bring it to our market, or do they have plenty of crossovers already?
