Of course that Theophilus Chin couldn’t stay away from the new MINI Cooper and he had to create another beautiful rendering, to honor the launch of the new model.
His creation is a take on how a Convertible Cooper might look like. As usual, his attention to detail and precise drawing are impressive and we might see this model turned into reality next year, with minimal differences.

The Convertible will, most likely, use the same engines as the hardtop models, starting with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder unit that makes 136 HP and 220 Nm of torque for the normal Cooper and going up to a 2-liter turbo unit with 192 HP and 300 Nm of torque on the Cooper S.

There could also be a diesel somewhere in there, the Cooper D, using a 3-cylinder 1.5-liter engine with 116 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque, but in this case, it will be more frugal.
