Renault To Present Laguna Coupe Monaco GP Edition

Renault will showcase the special edition Laguna Coupe Monaco GP on April 9 at the Cabriolet, Coupe and SUV Show that is about to be inaugurated at the Porte de Versailles exhibition in Paris.

The French coupe will feature an eye-catching exterior, as it will come dressed in pearlescent white and pearlescent black paint. The vehicle will offer special features for its passengers, such as a full leather interior finish.

The Renault Laguna Coupe Monaco GP will be packed with technology, featuring a Carminat TomTom satellite navigation, a Bose high spec audio system and xenon headlights. The driver will be able to enjoy the car through the bends, as it features the 4Control chassis, a system that enhances the handling characteristics.

The current generation of the Renault Laguna Coupe, revealed at the Monaco GP in 2008, comes with a wide range of engines, comprising of four diesel units and three petrol powerplants.

The entry level unit is the 2.0 liter petrol developing 167 hp and 270 Nm of torque. This also has a beefier version that offers 205 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The top of the range petrol unit is a 3.6 liter V6 that produces 240 hp and 330 Nm of torque.

The least powerful diesel engine is a 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque 2.0 liter. This can also produce 175hp and 380 Nm of torque. Renault also offers a third version of the unit, which develops 180 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The top diesel powerplant is a 3.0 liter V6, which produces 235 hp and 450 Nm of torque. This is also the top performing version of the Laguna Coupe: it can deal with the first hundred in 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 242 km/h.
