Renault will present the Chinese flavor of the Renault Latitude at the 8th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition which will be open to the public between December 21 and December 27. Sales of the model are likely to begin in the first months of the next year, but Renault hasn't offered specific details on the matter.
Latitude is one of the latest products wearing the Renault badge and the French manufacturer is really striving to make the sedan available in all corners of the world. Earlier this year, the company launched the Latitude in Moscow, while sales officially debuted in September. What's interesting is that Renault also confirmed that the Latitude is going to be produced in Russia, but plans for Chinese production are not yet disclosed.
In Russia, the Latitude is being offered with a choice of two petrol and two diesel units. The petrol ones include a 2.5-litre V6 mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, developing 177 hp and 233 Nm of torque plus a 2.0-litre unit that uses a CVT and delivers 139 HP and 191 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is 9.7l/100km (24.2mpg) and 8.3l/100km (28.3mpg) respectively.
As for the diesel configurations in the Renault Latitude range, they will come as either a 2.0-litre dCi producing 175 hp or a 3.5-litre dCi V6 outputting 240 hp.
Interior equipment include a triple-zone automatic climate control system, a dual-mode air ioniser, as well as a high-end on-board technical equipment. Customers can either choose between a dark gray interior with dark leather, and a dark beige interior with beige leather.
