The BMW 8 Series was and will forever be a special model in every BMW enthusiast’s life, mostly because of the beautiful shape it has but also for its history.
It was and still is one of the most beautiful cars ever to make it out of the assembly line of BMW in Germany. However, when it was on sale Alpina also created a custom version, in their typical way. Their model was called B12 and was based on the 850i model.

According to the logs on Alpina’s website, the B12 ran to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds thanks to a 5-liter V12 engine that made 350 HP and 470 Nm of torque. Of course, such an engine is not cheap to run but it is special, nonetheless.

Out of the 97 cars ever made by the German tuner, only 2 ever made it across the pond and one of them belongs to a BMW Car Club of America that decided to put it up for sale.

The car is located in Pennsylvania and has 25,000 miles on the odometer. From the looks of things, the B12 is in pretty good shape but you’ll have to make further inquiries if you decide you’d like a piece of BMW history in your garage.
