Rumots about Land Rover giving the world a more powerful version of the Evoque are nothing new, with the company itself previously hinting that this would happen and now we are getting one step closer to receiving a hot Evoque, as a new piece of info has surfaced.
According to Autoblog.nl, the vehicle, which should use the Evoque R designation, will be powered by Jaguar’s new supercharged 3.0-liter V6, the engine that will be used by the fresh F-Type.

On the Jag, it will be offered with two power levels and the Evoque is expected to get the entry-level one, which means that it should offer the driver 340 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to play with. This would allow the vehicle to deal with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in around 6 seconds and offer a top speed of over 230 km/h (143 mph).
