Nissan made the little Juke crossover into a GT-R powered monster, and then they took it to Dubai for a bit of racing against Lambos and Ferraris. Rumor has it that millionaires got out their checkbooks and started waving them in the air, wanting to buy the Juke-R. And so, the decision was made to put it into very limited production.
The cars will only be built on a pre-order basis, costing over half a million dollars. This is amazing, considering the Juke is one of the cheapest crossovers sold in Europe.
The good news is, you’ll be able to have the full 550 horsepower of the 2013 Nissan GT-R, not just the 480 that the first Juke-R got. The rest of the powertrain, the driveshafts, the brakes, the wheels and the gearbox, will all come from the Japanese supercar.
As you can see from these first sketches of the production Juke-R, it’s kept those funky looks, the huge wheelarches and the dual wings at the back that give it a unique look.
