Coachbuilt cars normally make you wait and beg for it, and the V12 Zagato is no exception. The Aston Martin exclusive job bas been know to us for almost a year now, but deliveries have yet to start. But at least the production car, of which there will only be 150, has been fully revealed at the 2012 Kuwait Concours d’Elegance.
We suspect that even though the Emirates are the land of the Ferrari 599, the Zagato will quickly become a favorite there due to its exclusivity. In fact, Aston decision to reveal the production Zagato in Kuwait denotes where most of their customers are.
As you probably know by now, the car is built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1962 DB4GT Zagato. It’s based on the Vantage, and comes with the same engine, a 6.0-liter with 517 PS or 510bhp.
The body is a mix of carbon fiber and hand-crafted aluminum, which is probably why Aston can charge you £330,000 ($520,000) for their new coupe.
