The production version of the Volkswagen Golf VII-based GTI will make its debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.
The hot-hatch's presence in Switzerland was confirmed by the images posted on the event's official website, which actually show the concept car. So either the production version will look the same, or we're going to see some premiere stuff.
What we know so far is that the seventh-generation GTI will be lighter that it's predecessor, thus it will have better handling a fuel economy. As we were telling you during the concept's unveiling in Paris last year, Volkswagen promises 39 miles per gallon on the highway (6l/100km) for the 1.3-liter Golf GTI.
We still have three weeks until the Geneva Auto Show opens its doors, so until we can see the actual production Golf VII GTI, you can have a look at the five-door Laser Blue Metallic concept.
