As we’ve said on countless occasions, the world of pranks has gone completely off hand these days, with people crossing the line with every possible occasion just to grab some attention.
And while the prank we want to show you here follows the pattern mentioned above, it somehow seems fitting for all the people trying to cut corners out there on Craigslist.

This story is about a Craigslist ad for a Lamborghini Huracan, with the supercar being offered for $40,000. The pranksters would discuss with potential customers, agreeing to meet, only to show them a scale model. And one that’s not even a Huracan.

Sure, asking people to drive through Los Angeles traffic only to make fun of them in front of the hidden camera is as cool as bullying your colleagues in high school, but the prospective buyers aren’t exactly reasonable people themselves.

There are tons of reasons for which such a transaction has all the chances in the world to be a failure

The sheer idea of buying a Lamborghini on Craigslist is enough to drive decently-thinking people away. And you don’t even have to be in the know to tell that a Huracan could only be offered for 40 grand after a major crash.

While watching the clip tells us that at least some of the scenes were staged, there’s one conclusion that stands - the prank, be it genuine or not, only come to show the trading jungle that has come to describe many transactions performed on Craigslist.

These only come to disturb the tons of successful sales, which make both sellers and buyers happy with their motoring adventures.

Spoiler alert - the action in the video below does get physical at times, but then again, you do expect that to happen.
