The Porsche Panamera is slowly but surely becoming less controversial as it conquers the minds of the ones who drive it and the public gets used to its appearance.
Special awards received by the car can also contribute to this. For example the Panamera has recently been awarded with the Business Diamond distinction in the “Automobile” category. The award pays tribute to continuous quality, unique service, customized concepts and (very relevant for this case, if you ask us) the courageous implementation of strategies in the following categories: hotel, airline, automobile, innovation, communication and service providing. It is conferred annually by the Busche Verlag publishing house together with the conference and event agency Buchungsservice24. The jury is formed by members from both companies.
Siegfried Bülow, Chairman of the Board of Porsche Leipzig GmbH, accepted the Diamond award on behalf of the Panamera at yesterday’s ceremony in Leipzig, Germany.
"We are very pleased that in winning the Business Diamond Award, our fourth model has continued to strike such a positive chord", Bülow said.
On average, 20,000 Panameras are scheduled to come to the world each year via the company’s Leipzig factory. It shares this production site with Porsche’s other controversial model, the Cayenne SUV.
The Panamera kinda’ floated our boat when we tested it last year, thanks to its features, its interior space and especially its performance level. These assets convinced us to look past the car’s exterior design and appreciate it.
