Porsche Panamera Gets 575 BHP from APS Sportec

Sportec Porsche Panamera Turbo Stage Two Performance
The British division of APS Sportec announced today the launch of a two stage performance enhancement program for the 4.8-litre, bi-turbo, four wheel drive Porsche Panamera. Initially, the Panamera produces 493 bhp / 700 Nm, but thanks to the Stage one package, it can get up to 560 bhp and 790 Nm under its hood.

This amount of power also allows the Panamera to record a 0-62 mph time of 3.9 seconds, 0.3 seconds lower than standard. Top speed is limited to 190 mph. “On the road these performance gains endows the four door, 1970 kilogram car with far greater real world pace,” a company statement reads.

These figures are achieved following a Sportec ECU remap, with optimised settings for fueling, ignition and turbo boost parameters. Pricing for Stage One is of GBP 2,900.

Sportec’s Stage Two conversion for the Panamera turbo features the addition of a cat back stainless steel sports exhaust system, and a pair of sound throttles, as well as an ECU remap. The power unit can therefore output 575 bhp and 820 Nm. Testing has shown that Stage Two Sportec Panamera Turbo clocks a 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds, with the same limited top speed of 190 mph.

“This endows the Sportec Panamera with near supercar levels of speed, delivering an effortless surge of exhilarating performance from the twin turbocharged 4.8-litre V8 engine, making both overtaking and fast cruising an effortless experience,”
the statement says.

Priced at GBP 7,990, the Sportec Stage Two upgrade for the Porsche Panamera Turbo is on sale now, alongside Stage One, at UK concession APS of Brackley.
