Aftermarket Audi TT RS by Sportec

The new Audi TT RS is a really outstanding model, especially when talking about the engine and the performance it is able to generate. To give you an idea on how powerful the new TT RS is, the car is moved by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that releases 340 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm. However, tuning houses around the world think that can get even more from this engine, so tuning packages keep coming.

Sportec announced a performance upgrade for the upcoming Audi TT RS that raises the final performance ratings to no less than 405 horsepower, according to worldcarfans.com. The Stage One upgrade - which means Stage Two and Stage Three are likely to follow with even greater output - is
already available in the United Kingdom through APS of Brackley, the official Sporter importer in the country, for 1,200 pounds (1,370 euros).

The upgrade comprises an ECU remapping and a couple of other enhancements which resulted in a maximum power of, as we said, 405 hp at 5,800 rpm. The maximum torque is now 544 Nm at 2,650 rpm. Quite impressive, we would say, especially when considering that the TT RS is now almost as powerful as the Porsche Panamera S.

Other figures include a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 4.2 seconds compared to 4.6 seconds on the stock model.

Unfortunately, the tuning house hasn't released photos or full details of this first upgrade so we can't say for sure what are the exterior and the interior enhancements. Nevertheless, keep an eye out for Stage Two...
