Porsche today revealed details and photos of the most powerful version of the new Panamera. For 2014, the Turbo S has a bit more power, a few cosmetic touches and some extra skills, all adding up to a much more interesting car.
This wolf in regular executive car clothing is powered by a 4.8-liter biturbo V8, which now makes 570 PS (419 kW or 561 bhp). This is 20 PS more than the old S and enough to keep up with rivals from other German companies. Torque is also up, to 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) available between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. With the overboost function, this goes up to 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).

If you've good friends with your launch control systems and have undamaged rubber, you could look to go from 0 to 100 km/h un a blistering 3.8 seconds (0 to 60 in 3.6s). The top speed has gone up by 4km/h to 310km/h, thanks mainly to the power increase.

Even though the engine displacement is the same, Porsche have added new turbochargers, with larger compressors, along with uprated injectors, pistons and piston rings. Perhaps more impressive than the performance is the economy: 10.2 l/100km, exactly like the Panamera Turbo, plus emissions of just 239 g/km.

We love the new Panamera Turbo S for its standard Crono package, its newly designed set of headlights and exclusive new Palladium metallic exterior paint finish. What more could you ask for from a car like this?
