Porsche has released a new video in which its LMP1 development team is talking about the racing engine that will be fitted in the company’s upcoming endurance race car.
Although the video documents the unit’s development and testing process, there’s no actual footage with the engine, which means we’re still far off from finding out whether the LMP1 will be powered by a turbocharged inline-four or not.

As a reminder, the new Porsche race car will be entered in the 2014 World Endurance Championships, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, looking to put an end to Audi’s dominance. The new track-prepped prototype will be driven by Mark Webber, Timo Bernhardt, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani.
