The Porsche Cayman GT4 is quickly turning into an automotive and YouTube - if not internet - sensation. Since its reveal during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche’s newest track delight managed to get everyone exciting.
In another video review of the most powerful Porsche Cayman Stuttgart has given so far, Autocar gets to test the coupe’s new superpowers both on public roads and on the race track.

While petrolheads can’t stop worshipping Porsche for what they’re doing under their car’s hoods - that is pressing with that naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer unit - the Cayman GT4 did some stealing and got its hand on his brother’s engine.

That’s right, that 3.8-liter plant is coming straight from the Porsche 911 Carrera S icon and all it wants is a change to unleash those 385 HP held together by a six-speed manual gearbox.

We don’t even had to mention this, but the road track is for the Porsche Cayman GT4 what the sea is for Nemo, except that Porsche’s offspring will never get lost on a twisted circuit which its pretty convenient if you ask us, since we’re talking about a car capable of blitzing from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph).

There are fans who might have wanted to see Porsche’s smooth but crisp PDK gearbox working hard on the Porsche Cayman GT4, but the manual transmission is doing such a good job around those corners and straight lines that we must ask ourselves: why would one give up all that fun for an automatic gearbox, even if it’s the mighty PDK we’re discussing here?

Anyway, that answer and more impressions on the car are waiting for you in the video below.
