Aston Martin to Storm Spa 24 Hours

The weekend is almost here and we must prepare for the 24 Hours of Spa race, which promises to offer explosive action. Some of the teams that are working at full throttle in order to make the most out of the endurance event are Hexis AMR, GPR AMR, Ecurie Ecosse and Speed Lover. But why have we chosen these four, what do they have in common? The answer is simple: they will also rely on Aston Martin metal during the race.

The official partner team Hexis AMR, who will also take part in the FIA GT1 World Championship, will race two GT3 DBRS9s in the pro-Cup category. Car number 3 will be manhandled by French drivers: Pierre Brice Mena, Julien Rodrigues and Yann Clairay. As for the the number 4 car, this will be driven by Henri Moser (CH), Stef Dusseldorp (NL) and Frederic Makowiecki (FR).

The same vehicle will be used by team GPR AMR in the Pro-Am category, with Eddy Renard (BE), Gavin Pickering (GB) and other two yet unnamed drivers behind the wheel.

Eccurie Ecosse will also enter a DBRS9 in the Pro-Am category, with an all-British driver line-up that includes Oliver Bryant, Andrew Smith, Alastair McCraig and Joe Twyman. We have to mention that the team will be making its motorsport retunr after a 20-year hiatus.

As for the Belgian team Speed Love, this will enter a V8 Vantage in the GT4 class, with Christophe Bigourie (FR), Sven van Laere (BE) and Peter van Audenhove (BE) behind the wheel.
