Porsche Cayenne Gets KW Lowering Suspension

Tuners love to play with cars - it’s what they do. However, some vehicles offer aftermarket developers greater satisfaction than others. Why? The answer is simple - because they are friendlier, offering a huge tuning potential. One of the cars is Porsche’s SUV, the Cayenne.

The vehicle, now in its second generation is like LEGO for tuning companies and thus modification kits for it will never stop coming. The latest package of this kind comes from suspension specialist KW, which tempts you to bring your Cayenne closer to the road.

The German tuner has developed a new coilover suspension for the Cayenne, which uses the Variant 3 designation. The goodies offers modified characteristics for the Cayenne’s factory stock suspension.

The kit includes pre-mounted struts, adjustable spring seats, a mechanical barrier, as well as dust protection, promising to offer an OEM quality level. Your Cayenne can be lowered by between 35 and 70 mm, which means that both the handling and the looks will be enhanced. Just don’t expect the car to offer the same go-anywhere asset.

KW brags that it has used the latest production techniques in the stainless steel industry, making the product a part of its “inox-line”. The company claims that this allows the suspension kit to keep its flexibility, even when it has to face hefty forces, which are developed during high speed driving.

So, let’s say that you(‘ll) own a second Generation Cayenne and would like to install the aforementioned goodie - you’ll have to be prepared to spend EUR2,700 in order to have it.
