The German suspension specialist KW today announced that it has released new kits for the Opel Astra J, as well as for the Sedan and Tourer (station wagon) incarnations of the Insignia. The company aims to enhance the handling of the vehicles without compromising the ride comfort.

The tuner offers coilovers that allows the driver to lower the vehicle by between 30 and 60 mm, with multiple versions being offered. The top of the range one, which is dubbed Variant 3, offers adjustable rebound and compression rated. This is offered for a price of EUR1,649.

As for the Insignia, KW not only offers three versions, but comes with specific setups for the front-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive and OPC incarnations of the vehicle, as well as differentiating between the Sedan and Sports Tourer. Thus, the tuner wants to offer each driver a sky-high level of confidence while tackling the bends.

In addition to that, the company also offers Cancellation kits that tweak the ride of the models fitted with the Flex Ride suspension.

Here’s how the aftermarket developer describes its products: “Not only did KW’s suspension solutions clearly reduce the assembly movements but also ensured the big one from Rüsselsheim was significantly better to control during rapid steering manoeuvres. Especially during sporty driving, the KW coilovers ensure the driver clearly receives more feedback from the road. At the same time, however, comfort is not neglected at all. KW’s solutions further guarantee that the Insignia is still the perfect vehicle for relaxing long-distance journeys."
