Porsche Cayenne Cabriolet Rendered for No Good Reason

Porsche has recently taken a lot of flack for its model lineup. Far from being a sportcar maker, the German company has invested heavily in more mass-market premium vehicles, the Panamera and Cayenne. Soon, a smaller SUV called the Macan will be launched, followed in a few years by the Cajun sedan.
As things stand, the company that used to be know for small, light speedsters will be completely forgotten. But what if you were to combine the genes of a Cayenne SUV with the car that killed James Dean?

You'd get something like this abomination, a Cayenne Cabrio with the soul of a 956 Speedster. Only two doors and a chopped windshield ensure a sportier look. At first glance, the idea seems rather stupid, but anybody who's tried to park the latest Stuttgart sportscars over a curb will tell you it's not.

Some expect a market for convertible SUVs is forming, and Land Rover reportedly approved its Evoque ragtop for production. But until the trend catches on, we can only wait and see if the Germans will take the risk and innovate.
