Nowadays, it's not all that uncommon to see cars like a Porsche 911 leaving the beaten path behind and even drifting while they get off the road. Especially not if you look in the dark corners of social media, where this kind of hooning draws attention like nothing else. However, the Porsche 911 no-asphalt drifting we've brought along for today is different.
At first, it might look like we're dealing with a piece of footage that showcases a Neunelfer drifting on the grass. The scene takes place in front of a castle and the French land that hosts the shenanigan isn't exactly flat.
The example we have here is a member of the 997 generation and it has plenty of features that set it apart from the most affordable examples. You see, we're dealing with a 997.2 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. And driver doesn't seem to cut the Zuffenhausen machine any slack, as you'll get to notice in the clip.
However, this post comes from a French shop called Danton Arts Kustoms and the adventure we have here is just the first step of a complex transformation process.
You see, this label likes to turn famous machines into rat rods and, as the Instagram description of the video explains, this Porscha will also be chopped.
Now, if we are to pay attention to the hashtags, this 911 will be animated by a HEMI. And, if the previous projects of the company are any indication, the V8 will sit up front.
In fact, this would be the third such FrankenPorsche the French shop would build, albeit with the previous ones being based on air-cooled 911 models. As for the list of other machines that have been taken down the rat rod path so far, this also includes a Lamborghini Espada, for instance.
This sort of projects splits opinions for a living and yet we'll keep a close eye on the progress and return with fresh details as soon as we get our hands on them.
