Here's a bit of a riddle for you: what has its engine in the back and sounds like a jackhammer apocalypse while doing its 205 mph (330 km/h) official top speed?
The answer is, obviously, a 997 Porsche 911 GT that gets a flat tire while doing an indicated 207 mph - we're probably dealing with a speedo error, but, as you'll see, that's not exactly relevant here.

Most of us know the sound that instantly fills up the cabin of a car when a flat tire causes a rim to take the role of caressing the driving surface. However, when the vehicle experiencing the issue mentioned above is playing triple-digit games that start with a "2", that soundtrack climbs to a whole new level.

The adventure can be seen in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which shows the GT2's top speed run, taking place on the German Autobahn, ending abruptly.

However, the driver deserves a few words of praise for keeping his cool. Heck, the man acts like this was your typical 30 mph flat moment, quickly pulling out his smartphone to ask for assistance once the rear-wheel-drive beast slows down. And when you think they call the GT2 the widowmaker...

Then again, you'd expect such velocity maturity from any driver who takes his car to such speeds. And while that statement definitely isn't true for all speed fans, the guy behind the wheel is part of a Swedish racing team dubbed Buldre. The 997 also belongs to the team, so this is far from the first time when they're having a dangerous affair.

And speaking of the GT2, we are now less than twelve months away from meeting the 991 incarnation of the badass Zuffenhausen machine and you can see a 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 prototype in the images to your right. While manual gearbox rumors are flying around, we can confirm the fact that the machine sounds like an angry monster while lapping the Nurburgring.
