While the Dubai Police is busy adding more exotics to its fleet, one French artist has other kind of plans for police vehicles. Benedetto Bufalino has recently given a full makeover to a 1970s police car, turning it into a chicken coop.
This isn’t just for the show, as the coop is fully functional. The vehicle has been stripped of many interior parts, while all its movable panels are fully open. These have been gifted with wood and chicken wire, so that the cabin volume of the car is maximized.
The police livery was kept on the car, while the roof is still adorned with the traditional lights. Sure, these don’t serve any functional purpose, but they do boost the artistic aura of the creation.
The vehicle was showcased at the Festival Polyculture 2013 and can now be found at an actual farm in France. The video below offers us a walkaround, so you’ll be able to see it being put to good use.
