Good news for the Indian scooter riders, as Piaggio, one of the world's leading scooter manufacturers announces the beginning of their Typhoon bike in 2013. The Piaggio Typhoon will be equipped with the same 150cc engine now powering the Fly 150 machine, making this the very first multi-point injection scooter to sell in India.
One of the nicest features of the Piaggio Typhoon is its dual nature: while being obviously built as a nice cross-town and even out of town commuting machine to be used on asphalt, its fat, 12” wheels and top-notch suspension also provide it with high off-road useability.

The 4-stroke 11.4 hp engine can make the Piaggio Typhoon reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and the 142 miles (229 km) range make it even better. Simple and easy-to-read instrumentation follows the modern, fluid design of this scooter. There is no word on the Typhoon pricing, but everybody expects reasonable deals; and if Piaggio wants to see it making money in India, they'd better come up with a nice price tag.
