Peugeot to Display HR1 Concept in Geneva

In the year of its 200th anniversary, Peugeot has announced it is also bringing the HR1 Concept to its display area at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle provides an innovative urban concept that blends features from a city run-around, coupe and SUV. The Peugeot HR1 is designed to appeal to young city inhabitants, both individuals and couples, who “lead an active outgoing life and who seek out new lifestyle experiences in relation to their leisure activities and their mobility.” All that basically means it's a crossover with two doors and modern lines and features. The two scissor doors in question facilitates access to a structured passenger compartment that is innovative in its modularity. The overall design is purposeful and dynamic, strengthened further by the flowing wheel arches, large wheels and the raised sections above the rear windscreen, reminiscent of the double-bubble roof seen on the RCZ Coupe. The French company has taken time to create headlamps and full LED rear lights in its own style, which give the car a unique signature by day and by night. The HR1 features Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology that combines an original three-cylinder, 1.2-liter THP petrol engine at the front with a rear-mounted electric motor, in order to offer a potential power output of about 150 hp, plus reduced CO2 emissions (80 g/km, or 0 in electric mode) and all-wheel drive. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
