When it comes to turning hatchbacks into coupes, there’s basically two ways to do it. Either you make a 3-door version with a more rakish roof that’s basically still a hatchback or you go berserk and use the platform for something completely different, fitting the car with an actual boot.
Peugeot went all out when they turned the 307 hatchback into the RCZ coupe, and they created a masterpiece of design from the back, with a double-bubble roof worthy of any Zagato model. However, the grinning grille at the front was always letting the RCZ down.
For this year’s Paris Motor Show, the French have redesigned the front end of the car, enriching its character and creating the expression that it should have had from the beginning. The experience of actually owning an RCZ will also be enhance through an extended range of colour and material combinations, both to exterior and interior.
