Peugeot is on a bit of a roll at the moment, having recently launched the rather excellent 208, a car which is a massive improvement over its predecessor, the 207, in absolutely every single way. Their 308 is also a genuinely excellent car, being the first ‘new style’ Peugeot to be released, back in 2008. It was followed by two large people carriers, the 3008 and the 5008, both regarded as excellent in their own right, and the 508 sedan and estate, a car fit to take on the Germans.
Apart from these production cars, Peugeot have also shown us many great concepts, like the HX1, a sleek Citroen-esque-looking MPV, with ample room for six, despite having one of the lowest rooflines we’ve ever seen on a car - even a concept. Peugeot have announced that they will be bringing the 208 GTi and the HX1 concept to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this year so that people can see them ‘in the metal’.

We appreciate Peugeot’s initiative and we’re looking forward to seeing these two stunning cars (each in its own right) being driven in a sporty manner up the famous hill at Goodwood. So, if you are planning to attend the FoS, clap and cheer vigorously as the 208 GTi passes by to let Peugeot know that people are genuinely enthusiastic about the car and that they should put it into production.
