Let’s just start off by saying the Peugeot 208 looks awesome, even more so now that it’s gotten a sporty look. Yet, there’s something a lot different about the 208 GTi Concept from the old one: it’s more civilized, more luxurious and less boy-racerish.
The concept is based on the three-door version of the 208, and make no mistake, while it’s called a concept now, this car is very much a production reality.
The exterior is distinguished by 36mm wider track, at the front and at the rear, lower spoilers and lower skirt extensions. The wheels have a red stripe on just one of the spokes and there’s a single twin exhaust at the back.
The interior is even more impressive, with a leather flat-bottomed steering wheel that looks lie it came of a spaceship and bright red dials. What’s more, part of the seat is Nappa and the dash fascia has Alcantara.
Expect the production car to have a 200 horsepower 1.6-liter THP engine, giving it a sprint time of about 6.5s.
