The DS3 Cabrio is not the only interesting DS-badged car to be shown by Citroen in Paris, as the French manufacturer has also brought along an all-electric version of the DS3, called the Electrum. With a 17.5 kWh battery pack, it can travel up to 120 km (75 miles) on one charge, and it takes only 30 minutes to charge up to 80% of its capacity using a fast charger.
The power goes into two electric motors, with 87 hp (65 kW) each, which are placed on the front axle. If Citroen were to put this into (limited) production, it would sell much better than other similar size offerings from other manufacturers, primarily because it is one of, if not the most stylish car in its price and size range, and an all-electric drivetrain would just add to its appeal, we say - they should also keep it priced close to the regular version, just to keep things balanced in the range.
Sadly, Citroen has yet to confirm it, and we can only speculate until we have conclusive official statements.
