Over-the-Top Camper Van Is the Ultimate Billionaire's Toy With a Bar and Deluxe Features

Not having to worry about a budget when building a camper van would certainly make things easier, right? I'm guessing that, as a billionaire, even a $500K build doesn't sound that bad as long as it's exactly what you want.

This wealthy customer chose Vanning in Plain Sight to help bring its dream camper van build to life. The Clearwater, Florida-based company specializes in creating luxurious, stealthy, and off-grid capable tiny homes on wheels.

The unit I'm discussing today is based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 170" wheelbase. Of course, this was the obvious choice since the Sprinter is one of the premium options for van conversions.

Before we take a closer look, let me tell you more about the customer's wants since the features we'll see inside will make more sense. First, the customer is a mountain biker, so he wanted a way to fit his bike and gear. Second, he likes hosting people. And finally, he enjoys coffee and drinks. Now, let's get into it.

On the outside, this rig is finished in gray and black and is indeed quite stealthy. Weirdly enough, it doesn't have any windows whatsoever except for the ones in the driver's cabin.

Notable exterior accessories are a roof rack holding an electronically-controlled awning, a bike rack and a storage box at the rear, a front steel bumper, and running boards.

Once you open the sliding door, you'll discover a finely-designed interior packed with all the bells and whistles. Regarding design, the customer wanted a blend of stainless steel and copper, and Vanning in Plain SIght delivered precisely that.

You'll also see salmon/cream pink (I'm not entirely sure how to name the color) cabinetry on one side paired with grey cabinetry on the other.

Starting from the entrance, you'll notice that a bench blocks part of the entryway. Inside it, the company mounted a pull-out cooler, perfect for storing beers or other drinks to enjoy outside. Step inside, and you'll notice that the rig boasts an open layout, meaning the driver's cabin isn't separated from the living space.

You'll discover the kitchen on the driver's side, dead ahead of the entrance. It features a small oven, a two-burner induction stove, a spice rack, two shelves, four massive overhead cabinets, and a beautiful, hand-hammered copper sink.

There's even a bar section in this kitchen, with a pull-out drawer slide designed to hold glasses and bottles – two tall ones and four small ones. The customer went as far as to inform the van builders what exactly he wanted to store: two Don Julio 1942 Clase Azul bottles and four other bottles: two Anejos and two Reposados. Furthermore, underneath, you'll find a small ice maker.

You might think this kitchen is not that well-equipped, considering that it's a high-end build – well, wait until you see what's in the garage.

This part of the van stands out with some striking aesthetic details. For instance, the kitchen has a white marble backsplash with stainless steel/copper inlays. Another notable element is an LED-backlit cut-out depicting a mountain biker.

Other unique design elements are the overhead cabinets' inserts. Vanning in Plain Sight opted for a copper stainless steel weave, perfectly matching the theme the customer requested. What's more, there's even a 24K gold-plated handle for the pull-out bar.

Opposite the kitchen, you'll discover a coffee station underneath another overhead cabinet. There's no doubt this customer is a daily coffee drinker since the company bolted the coffee makes directly into the counter, while its water filter is attached with velcros to the machine to make sure it doesn't fly off when the vehicle is in motion.

Under the coffee maker, the builders devised a shelf specially designed to hold coffee capsules. Furthermore, the customer even requested a cup dispenser, so the next shelf is where you'll find the cups – two types of cups, to be precise. One is for coffee, and one is for drinks.

The space between the coffee station and the bedroom is occupied by the bathroom and a closet. The bathroom is the most beautiful place in this interior if you ask me. It features a spacious full copper shower, a toilet, and a Moen Smart Shower system. Don't worry. I didn't know about this thing either.

Long story short, it's designed to elevate your shower experience by adjusting the temperature, length, and more, as well as creating presets for different users. Fancy stuff for a fancy camper build, right?

Next, the closet provides a decent amount of space via a hanging spot and a drawer underneath. Above, you'll notice the rig's control panel, comprising a Webasto heater controller, a Victron GX display, and a controller for a Fusion sound system. By the way, this rig is equipped with four interior speakers, a subwoofer, and four exterior speakers.

The deluxe theme of this van continues in the bed with yet another feature I haven't seen before in a camper: a Furrion electric fireplace. As I just mentioned, there's also a Webasto heater onboard, while a ceiling Dometic A/C will keep the interior cool when needed.

Other notable elements in the bedroom are a 43-inch Smart TV, shelves, charging points, and some more cabinets. Oh, and there's an Isotherm fridge housed underneath the bed.

And finally, we have the garage, which is accessible only by opening the two rear doors. It has a setup I've never seen before. Above, there's another Smart TV.

The lower part of the garage is split into three parts – well, there's nothing separating them, but it's easier to explain it this way. The left side is where you can store stuff – in fact, this space is technically occupied by folding chairs, but it can serve as storage if the customer leaves the chairs at home. The middle part is occupied by a toolbox mounted on a drawer slide.

The right side is where things get interesting – the company fitted a pull-out outdoor kitchen, complete with an electric barbeque, a stainless steel sink, a shelf, drawers, lights, and more. Just imagine: you pop a few beers open (or a tequila bottle in this customer's case), play some music on the TV, and start barbequing - that sounds pretty good.

Deep in the garage is where you'll find the electrical system. Unfortunately, Vanning in Plain Sight did not share how big the battery, solar, and water systems are. However, I bet the electrical system is very powerful, considering the many appliances that need plenty of battery juice. What's more, there are surely large water tanks fitted on the camper.

Another thing we don't know is how much this van was sold for – I was really curious about that, and I bet you are, too. Anyways, this is truly an over-the-top camper van with plenty of unique features. There's pretty much no limit to what specialized conversion companies can build for you if you have enough moolah.
