There's no better time to get the car electronics you've been craving than today, as Amazon just kicked off the October Prime sales.
Some of our favorite gadgets, including Android Auto adapters (which allow you to convert a wired connection into wireless), dash cams, and car chargers for your brand-new phone, are available at incredible prices.

Android Auto adapters

I'm going to start with wireless Android Auto adapters because their popularity has increased significantly lately. These devices allow users to get the convenience of a wireless connection by plugging into the USB port of their car and transforming Android Auto wired into a no-cord experience.

AAWireless, the device that pioneered this product category, did not receive a discount this time, but Motorola's MA1 can be yours for $69.99, down from $89.99. Motorola's adapter was praised by Google at the I/O developer event and has since been in hot demand.

Ottocast, a company that launched several wireless Android Auto adapters, joined the October Prime sales with a special $89.99 price for its dongle, down from $129.99. It's a 31% discount that allows you to get one of the best adapters available today.

If you don't want to pay that much for a simple thing like converting Android Auto wired to wireless, Answin just made its cheap dongle even cheaper. Their adapter is available today for $39.99, 20% off the original $49.99 price.

The cheapest dongle comes from DriveLink, whose adapter costs just $31.99 today. The device typically sells for $39.99.

If you use CarPlay, I have some pretty good news. CarlinKit 5.0, the latest version of the famous adapter, received a price cut from $104.99 to $60.89. Like wireless Android Auto adapters, CarlinKit connects to the USB port in your vehicle and converts the wired version of CarPlay to a no-cord setup.

Dash cams

The first thing many drivers do after buying a new car is installing a dash cam. As a permanent driving companion, the dash cam can help in so many ways, including with insurance when drivers are involved in accidents.

VIOFO A119, one of the most popular dash cam models available today, costs $79.99, thanks to Amazon's October Prime sales. The device carries a full price of $119.99, offering nearly the full package, including micro USB port support, 4K resolution support, and everything else you need from a dash cam. It doesn't feature the least intrusive design, but the A119 is really easy to use and takes just a couple of minutes to get up and running.

VIOFO also discounted a 2K front and rear camera kit, cutting the price from $189.99 to $133.90. With this kit, drivers can record everything happening in front and the back of the car.

The super-popular 70mai comes with a price cut too. The company discounted the Lite model, which typically sells for $69.99, to $39.99. The device offers a decent package, though I wasn't particularly impressed with the recording quality in low light. The M300, available today for $39.89, down from $59.99, performs better at night, so you might want to get this model if you want upgraded performance.

Cobra joined the October Prime party with a discount for its smart dash cam. The device typically carries a $129.95 price tag but is available today for $63.96.

OBD2 scanners

The popularity of OBD2 scanners has skyrocketed in the last few years, especially because applications like Torque and OBD Mary made scanning for faulty codes and obtaining error information very straightforward.

Such devices make it easy for drivers to figure out what goes wrong with their cars without paying hundreds of dollars at a service center.

Autel, one of the leading names in this field, discounted several products, including the MS309, which can be yours today for $18.39. The device will return to the $239.99 price tag when the sale ends. The AL319, which offers a professional package with more advanced diagnosis and support for more vehicles, costs $27.99, down from $36.99.

LAUNCH couldn't miss such the occasion of cutting the price of its scanners, so the CR529, one of the devices offering great value for the money, is available today for $31.27. The full price is $55.99, and the scanner offers advanced diagnostics, including for vehicle emissions.

If you're in the market looking for professional solutions, you must pick either a Foxwell or an Innova scanner. Foxwell has two scanners on sale – the NT604, which normally costs $169.99, at $135.99, and the NT624, with upgraded features and support for more vehicles at $215.99. This is a major discount from $305.99.

INNOVA has its 5610 professional scanner, which you'll find in many service centers, on sale with a hefty discount from $345 to $241.56.

Car chargers

Everybody has a phone charger in their car, and the debut of the iPhone 15 has taught us an important lesson. You can't just use any charger, as the generic ones you can find on eBay for $1 will likely offer terrible performance.

Anker is one of the biggest names in the industry, and the company has several products on sale, including a 52W charger that originally cost $15.99. It can be yours today for $11.99. However, if you want an upgraded experience with faster charging and more ports, the company has a 67W charger that includes two USB-C ports and one USB-A port at just $27.99. Without the discount, the charger is priced at $39.99.

Belkin is part of the sale with a 37W charger, available today for $17.49, down from $24.99, and the company's famous BoostCharge adapter offering 30W charging speeds. This latter model costs $15.99, down from $19.99.

Spigen, the company whose name became famous thanks to its super-durable phone cases, discounted the price of several chargers, including the Essential model. The device typically costs $19.99 but can be yours from Amazon for $15.99. The USB-C charger with 75W speeds dropped its price from $27.99 to $23.78.

iPhone 15 owners are also getting a special discount, as the USB-C MFi-certified charger now carries a price tag of $22.04, down from $44.99.
