It looks like HUD (heads up display) motorcycle helmets and systems are the way to go, and Nuviz is just the next big thing in this market. Up for public funding, the Nuviz HUD project exceeded the $180,000 (€131,900) goal and is now entering production.
What's really cool about the Nuviz HUD is that it was designed from the very start to be a system which would comply with all the full-faced motorcycle helmets. This approach was most likely the most appealing feature, aside the direct functional upgrades it brought to riding, navigation, communication, telemetry and even entertainment.
The retrofit factor means riders will not be forced to give up on their fav helmet make in order to get the full benefits of the Nuviz, and this is a major advantage over other new-tech helmets, such as the Reevu or the Livemap.
