It looks like Ferrari’s 458 Speciale simply isn’t... special enough for some and we’re referring to aftermarket developer Novitec Rosso, which has developed a comprehensive tuning program for the supercar.
Despite Ferrari’s engineers having already massaged the 458 Italia’s 4.5-liter engine to 605 hp, which gave it the greatest specific power output (naturally aspirated) in the world, the tuner brags it can raise this bar.

Suing some red line play, the unit now delivering 636 hp at a screaming 9,250 rpm. When it came to the peak torque, this was increase to 572 Nm (422 lb-ft) at 5,550 rpm. Among other results, the top speed was slightly raised to 330 km/h (205 mph).

We have to explain the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Speciale comes with a bespoke exhaust system. While you can check out its voice in one of the clips below, we have to explain the system is made from INCONEL. This is what F1 car use for their exhausts and it allows the system to be 7 kg (15 lbs) lighter than the standard one. The system is comprised of two high-performance exhaust manifolds, sports catalysts and a rear muffler.

This will also be offered as a separate option, while you can also gift it with butterfly valves that allow the driver to control the soundtrack via a button located in the cabin.

Novitec Rosso also gifts the 458 Speciale with a carbon fiber body kit. This includes a new front apron, special elements for the rear side windows, a rear wing, as well as a rear diffuser that can vary the downforce using an electrically-adjustable center area. You can also order custom elements for the hood-mounted air vents serving the coolers underneath, as well as for the transparent engine cover.

The tuning company doesn’t mention any weight decrease brought by the carbon fiber. As for the aerodynamics, the tuner once again fails to deliver exact figures, only stating the aero package “benefits directional stability at high speeds”.

Aside from that exhaust system, which does seem to make the most out of this V8’s aural abilities, we wouldn’t touch this package. The aforementioned extra engine play, as well as the questionable aerodynamics, are enough reason.
