The Nismo version of the 370Z sportscar from Nissan was already so aggressive in its setup that only true fans would buy it, but now an even more hardcore version of the car has arrived on the scene from the Japanese automaker’s in-house tuner.
The RC version of the 370Z promises to be a great race car, given the fact that it already had good weight distribution and excellent handling. For its track-ready configuration, the Z has dropped all of its roar-going kit and as a result it’s now 350 lbs lighter.
The 370Z Nismo RC only weighs 2,954 lbs (1,339kg), which is about the same as a hothatch. Power comes from the same 3.7-liter V6 that now produces 355 hp.
The automaker said that it designed the 370Z NISMO RC to conform to International FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class specifications, and that it comes fully loaded with a racing exhaust, a tuned ECM, a racing clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers, which can be clearly seen round the back.
