Nissan want their Lannia to really make a splash at the Auto Shanghai next week but before that happens, let's warm-up the audience with another teaser video.
We don't get a picture this time, as it happened one week ago when Nissan teased the Lannia for the first time. However, the short video provided by the Japanese manufacturer allows us to see some interior details, but nothing too lavish.

Just as we initially figured out, the car will have a strong 2016 Maxima feel about it, but that's a good thing considering the good impression made by the car at the New York Auto Show.

Furthermore, Nissan are reinforcing their statement regarding the target customers for the Lannia and reiterate what we already knew: "the Nissan Lannia is designed for the young Chinese trendsetters embodying their progressive spirit to the fullest."

Therefore, we should expect a "stylish and edgy design" which "stands out and goes against conventions". But since we'll see the car in the metal in Shanghai, we would rather judge it while we also take some live photos of the mid-sized sedan.

Nevertheless, Nissan will be looking to address a market segment that, in theory, attracts customers in their 20s or 30s. Translated into numbers, that means around 240 million potential buyers, a figure too big to be ignored.

In the end, time will have the ultimate word on Lannia's fate but the Japanese are confident it can turn out to be a profitable move. We'll keep you posted as soon as new intel emerges but stay tuned for our Auto Shanghai live coverage.
