We thought that Nissan wasn’t quite done with putting the GT-R powertrain into the little Juke compact crossover, but it seems that this wasn’t the case. We expected the unveiling of the car to take place at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, but here it is in all its glory.
The Juke-R was unveiled at the a Nissan Crossover media launch in Malaga, Spain, and the automaker says the audience was socked by the arrival of our ‘surprise guest’.
Just two Juke-R will be built as the world’s fastest compact crossover. One will have left hand drive and the other will have the steering wheel on the right. The cars have been developed by Nissan and are being built by leading motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (NTC-E). Testing of the car will begin in November.
